Footprints in the Sand.

Footprints in the Sand.

Today was emotional. I shadowed a doctor on rotation and watched him do several procedures. During the last procedure of the day, we discovered several tumors in our patient. I had such a sense of fear for the patient and said a quick prayer for him that they wouldn’t come back malignant. It’s so easy to forget how quickly life can change and how lucky you are to have your health.
When I got home today, I was still thinking about this last patient, and how difficult a journey he has ahead of him. I was reminded of one of my favorite prayers:  Footprints in the Sand.

I’m very thankful for my health and pray for the health of my loved ones.
